Besides the fact that there is an actual "equal sign" on this collage, I subconsciously chose the colors blue and pink while working on this piece. How fitting that the colors usually associated with men and women (respectively) are symbolic of the battle that still continues today for gender equality. Females do not earn equal pay for same work, but I believe someday this will change…and I hope it’s during my daughter’s lifetime!
